Cheryl & Chris' Wedding

2 weeks ago, it was my honour to take photos at Cheryl & Chris’ wedding, with help from Sheena Sabharwal for the getting ready part and church ceremony.

I was really looking forward to this wedding, as I have known the groom since he was 3. He’s the younger brother of my childhood best friend, and his parents used to have me over for playdates a lot - they even took me to Thorpe Park with them!

The bride and groom were both getting ready at the Denham Grove, a beautiful venue set on 42 acres of parkland.

I spent the majority of the time with the groom, and waited until the bride had her hair and make up done before spending more time with her. We had a lot of time to catch up, take some detail shots, as well as casual photos with friends and family. Weddings are a great time for family reunions, so it’s important to capture the photos with relatives you don’t see frequently.

Delighted to capture this expression on the groom’s face!

For this wedding, most of the photos were fairly unposed apart from the group photos. I wanted to capture the moment and didn’t want to interfere with the bride and groom too much - it is their wedding day after all, and not just a long photo shoot.

I did ask the newlywed couple to come out with me for a few minutes to get some photos in the wonderful parkland as the sun was setting.
